Greetings onto the good populace of Artemisia! This weekend a Harvest Court was held in the lands of Sentinel's Keep, and attended by Her Majesty Nisa. It was at this wonderful court that Baron Adne and Baroness Judith chose to begin their retirement, stepping down as Barron and Baroness, and were succeeded by Antoine de Bueil as the newest Barron of Sentinel's keep.
To ensure that his Barony was well protected, HE Antoine requested the best heavy fighters assemble to determine a new Baronial Champion. However, before the tourney could commence, Her Majesty held court on the list field to proclaim Ely of Silver Oak as Artemisia's newest Defender of the Citadel. Ely went undefeated to the Final round of the tournament against Till the Lucky. Till won the day in a well fought final round.
To honor the new Baron, Sir Da'oud and Sir Ibrahim cooked a marvelous feast, consisting of foods that would have brought from the new world to Spain and popular in the Baron's time.
In the evening's final court, Her Majesty named Adne and Judith Court Barron and Baroness for their service to the Barony and the Kingdom. Next, Wolfgang von Tolstad was called forward by Her Majesty and recognized for his efforts with an Award of Arms. Dame Brownwen Montgomery of Irenwold was summoned by Her Majesty and her contributions to the Arts were recognized with a Key Cross. Finally, Her Majesty recognized Lord Miles Stockton's skill with bow and arrow by awarding him a Gryphon and Pheon.
Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful event.
