Greetings all,
Perhaps I have a biased opinion, since Holmbiorn and I utilize (and are grateful for) the family membership, but I don't see how those who are single are 'subsidizing' those who utilize the family membership.
 
The family membership *is* cheaper to maintain. A second membership in the same household does not require a second newsletter, or second mailings of any sort. Children would not incur the same insurance expenses as adults who are potentially participating in heavy combat. I would be very curious to see a breakdown of exactly what goes into the formula for figuring out the cost of a membership, there may be other factors that we are not aware of.
 
There may be a disparity aside from the actual, quantifiable discount this incurs, and if that is the case then I'm all for that being evaluated and possibly removed to make things more 'fair'. But the fact remains that there are definable discounts and definable benefits to encouraging families to play and purchase a membership.
