[Artemisia] Question about jewelry

Good day unto the list.

I have recently acquired a very pretty pendant featuring a large, smooth-cut
tiger's eye and I'm wondering whether anyone knows if I could justify
wearing it in garb.  I'm a 10th century Irishwoman (with an obliging
Norsewoman to go a-viking and bring me home pretty things, if necessary).
Unfortunately, I know very little about the history of gemstones.  Does
anyone have any ideas, yea or nay?
