[Artemisia] Thoughts on Melee Changes at Uprising

It is good to bring in change.  Helps keep the event fresh and exciting.  One point though, please make sure to post extensively any changes to the fighting schedule.  People travel in for one day just for specific things.

Greetings All, but especially fighters...

We have been considering changing the heavy melee's at Uprising to Friday morning, and the tourney's to Saturday morning, with the Rapier fighters doing the opposite days.

The thought behind this was to increase participation of the heavy fighters in the melee's, as it is the best change to get the entire Artemisian Army together in one place.  If this change would accomplish that goal, great.  If this change would actually decrease the participation, well, then not so great...and we won't do it.

I'm not married to the idea, and am willing to go with that the majority of heavy fighters (and others with good ideas), want to do.  Again, the goal is to get the maximum number of fighters out on the heavy field.

If you would, could we please carry this discussion on over on Artemisia Militaris, so as not to overburden the Aerie?

Looking forward to your thoughts.  I've had two very good letters from folks that I respect and admire about the topic, and want to hear from more of you.
