BARBARIAN INVASION!!
(An Archery Event) 

The time is 610, the place  Britain. 

You are an Anglo-Saxon  warrior. 

You are part of the local  militia, called out to defend your farms 
from the Picts, 
who have come down from  the north 
on a pillaging and sheep-stealing  raid.   

You have a bow, and 12  arrows.   

Your fellow warriors join  you around your war captain 
as you see the approaching  Picts, screaming their war cries.  
You must defend yourself  and your family members gathered behind you 
and keep your farms from  being over-run!     

Your captain quickly lays  out the battle plan.
You will first target  the Pict leader at 100 yds, 
then the approaching Picts  at 40, 30 20 and 10 yards 
(two arrows shot at at  each range).   

If your shield wall breaks
you must be ready to retreat, 
so listen carefully for  your captain’s commands!! 

Your battle will be on  July 15 at 6:00pm on the archery range!!
