Greetings All!
With Spring Feast fast approaching I thought it appropriate to shoot out a few reminders and some additional information:
The event opens at 9am and closes by 10pm.
Rough Schedule (may change, see schedule at gate):
9am Doors Open
10:30am Morning Court (short)
11am to 1pm Armored & Archery "Flowers of Spring" tourneys
Noon - Lunch
1pm A&S and Rapier Champions Tourneys begin.
5pm Court
6:30pm Feast & Auction
And speaking of the Auction - once again the Barony will hold it's annual fundraiser auction. So, if you have anything sca related laying around gathering dust and you want it to go to a new home where it will get used, then please consider donating it to the auction. The funds from this auction are used to to help support the Barony in all of its endeavors. Please bring your items the day of the event unless you prior arrange with the Event Steward. All donations gratefully accepted!
And speaking of Fundraisers - we will also be holding our 2nd Codpiece of Unusual Construction Competition! So, if you want your creation to be worn by the Baron (who typically swears off codpieces) at feast, then enter! Not entering a codpiece? You can still support this expansive effort by purchasing tickets and voting on your favorite! Details at www.sentinelskeep.org
Lastly (take off the Event Steward Hat and Coronet) in order to help those members who may be having difficulty with the recent increases in membership fees, some private individuals will be hosting a bakesale. A table will be set aside for the purchase of sweets during the event. All sweets are donated, and if you'd like to donate a baked good or two, please bring it to the event. All funds made from this table will go towards a private membership assistance fund which will be managed by a few of our local members. I will have a small form available for anyone to fill out who could use some assistance with their memberships. Funds will be allocated as available on a basis of need as determined by these few local members, and all allocations will remain anonymous. I need to stress, this is NOT an official Baronial fundraiser, nor is it SCA regulated in any way, this is just a way of helping those in need - simple as that.
Additional information is posted on our website at www.sentinelskeep.org
We hope to see you there!
