[Artemisia] Hat Classes for Mystery Event

Greetings to the List--
We are so excited by the lineup of classes prepared for Mystery Event,
happening in the Province of Arrow's Flight March 26th.

those who wished to attend any or all of them had the schedule available so
they could plan their day according to their interests.
11 am-- Cover your head, the Persian way! A discussion of 16th century
Persian head coverings and how to make them. Presented by Lady Maysun Nura
al-Ishfahani al-Samarkandiyya
12pm- Fabric hats, a pattern to fit your head. We'll be drafting a basic
hat that can become so much more. Beanies, Cardinal hats and Mongolian fur
hats. Presented by Lady Lianor da Costa.
1pm - Overview of Medieval Hats and Ideas on modern materials for hat
making -handouts $1 and various patterns for sale. Presented by Lady
Tabitha de Luna
2pm -Felt! A pile of wool becomes the perfect hat for your persona. We'll
be making a basic felt blank and demonstrating how it can be shaped to
become a fez, a Phrygian cap, and a Slavic hat. The same techniques can be
used to create brimmed hats as well. Presented by Lady Praksedsy Turova
doch' If you wish to make your own hat there is a $7 materials fee, but
spectators are welcome and there will be a free handout.
3 pm- Biggins, muffin caps and coifs: How these are related and basic
construction ideas Presented by Cecily Pykerynge
4pm - How to make a Hat Pin, Presented by Lady Bronwyn y Ceredigion
