[Artemisia] Fortified Manor House Ideas?

If we are talking modern building materials, aluminum siding on the roof and
a bank of solar panels and windmills for energy. Don't forget a couple of
greenhouises for medicinal herbs and such, as well as a nicely stocked
workshop with tools for building just about anything from scratch. Hopefully
a plentiful source of wood will be nearby too. In terms of keeping sanity
within the walls, there should be a room or two for the kids of varying ages
to do things such as they are able to do and keep them busy rather than
letting them get bored and troublesome! There's lots of stuff kids can do
too, without even getting in trouble with child labor laws: gathering
kindling, cleaning wool, weeding in the greenhouses, weaving cords, etc.
There needs to be structure to daily life too, so that entertainment with
games or such is possible in the evenings while sitting around a fireplace
working on scrolls...
