Greetings good Gentles of Artemisia,
Thank you all for your concern. It has been a tough and very chaotic couple
of days just sorting and coming to grips with the magnitude of destruction
fire and wind can cause. We (my husband - Forrest of Gump, son - Shathow,
and our 2 dogs) are well and so very grateful to be so. We are
slowly sifting through the rubble and ash (finding interesting things the
fire spared), and moving forward with baby steps. I am touched and moved to
tears by your concern - again thank you.
My son I think was the hardest hit as he lost all his armor and weapons,
save for his helm and steel hilts (although I would ask if any of you know
what fire does to the strength and integrity of a helm. I would hate for
him to wear it seeming to be safe and have it not be so). He is determined
to rebuild his armor in leather and we are at a loss for a good and
reasonably priced supplier. I would appreciate any suggestions for leather
suppliers. I really only know of Tandy and we no longer have one in town
and our saddlery shops are horribly expensive.
I am truely amazed at the response of our community to our situation. We do
thankfully have, at least so far, good insurance coverage; but I guess we
have only just begun the rebuilding of our lives. In some ways this is a
cleansing and others it is very painful to think of the treasures we've lost
- but I am constantly reminding and reminded that it was all just stuff and
our lives were spared. Many, oh so many are no where near as lucky as we
were.
Again, thank you all for your concern. I really don't think I can say it
enough.... I will keep you apprised of our progress. I suspect we will be
at it for several months to come.
Thank you!
In Service to the Dream
Lady Branwyn,
MoAS, Shire of Stan Wyrm

Oh my goodness, what can we do to help???
Please, if anyone knows what we can do to most help this family, let me
know!

to be removed from the auction. Lady Bronwyn's house burnt to the ground
this morning. They are all ok, but have lost almost everything.
