Speaking of hard to find spices & ingredients... I will be attending
the West Coast Culinary Symposium in San Francisco next month. I've been
dying to attend the Roman Cooking classes they posted since I found out
about the event last summer and the stars have finally aligned for me to do
so!

Anyway... since the kids are already in San Francisco attending college,
they've gotten a pretty good understanding of the town and where to find
the odd spices & things I keep requesting they send me. I've been told
since I'll be in town I will be visiting places like China town and Japan
town as well as Little Russia and can only hope it adds a little
more "culture" to my persona (as well as... find stuff on my OWN). KIDS!!!
LOL!!
<chuckle> So... I intend to do some spice shopping of my *own* and wanted
to see if there was anything anyone suggest I look for not readily found in
the area that might be found there that would be of great interest to an
SCA Cooks Guild?

Let me know!
Freydis
