Kingdom Arts and Sciences Competition 
Saturday May 4th
in the Shire of Castelleone Nuovo
Helena Valley Community Center 2605 York Road, Helena Montana




On site crash space is available Friday and Saturday nights. Please bring your own bedding. Site is discreetly damp (alcoholic entries are okay) Chairs and tables are provided. The kitchen can be made available for food entries, please contact the event staff to reserve kitchen time/space. There is plenty of parking available and places with grass outside for fighting or other large space use entries. Site is within ten minutes of hotels and the Helena International Airport.

To compete for Artemisian Arts and Sciences Champion, an entrant must enter a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 entries, covering 3 different grand categories. Scores for all entered items will count towards your total, with the winner based on the highest ?average? score per item.

The Novice Champion is held to the same standards. A Novice is one who has never entered any items in a Kingdom Arts and Sciences competition.

The Youth Champion must enter 3 items in 3 categories.

Pre-Registration must be submitted to Baroness Casamira by April 22, 2013 so score sheets with scoring criteria can be generated. Registration forms are available in the Sage Advice http://enewsletter.sca.org/

The Bard of Artemisia competition will also be held. The winner is determined by the Crown, the current Bard, and the new Heirs with no formal "scoring".

Attention merchants: Merchants are welcome to set up tents outside in the grass area. There is no merchant fee. Please bring your own tables and chairs, tables and chairs belonging to the site are not to be brought outside. If there is room indoors, we may be able to have merchants inside. This is not guaranteed and the autocrat staff will make that decision Saturday. If you would like to merchant, please come check in with the autocrat before setting up.

Site fee is $8, non-member fee applies. There will be a Kingdom fundraiser dessert auction. We welcome donations, although there will be limited refrigerator and freezer space for storage. We also will be serving a $5 shire fundraiser lunch on Saturday. Dinner is off site, or you may bring food in.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Let it be known that throughout our glorious lands of Artemisia that a dessert auction will be held as the Kingdon fundraiser at the Arts & Sciences Championship. Artemisia is known for the wonderful foods that are served at the feasts. Now is the time for you to show the Known World what glorious desserts are offered and at the same time, aid the Kingdom coffers. Please let the auction steward know what you are bringing and if your dessert requires refrigeration. In addition, please include a card with the list of ingredients for your dessert.

Approaching EAST HELENA from the East on US 287- As you come into the Town of East Helena, Turn Right onto Lake Helena Drive and keep right to stay on Lake Helena Drive. Go 4.1 miles and then turn Left onto MT-280/York Road. Go 3 miles and then turn Left into Tizer Drive. Stay straight on Tizer Drive for .2 miles (Street address is York Road, but it's physically on Tizer.) Building will be on your left and SCA signs will be posted.
