[Artemisia] Calling All Psychopaths (Harvest War Event)

Darkness falls at the Harvest War camp bringing a twinkling of stars and
fires causing shadows to dance on the fields. Drums echo off the hills,
drawing forth to the fires those in the camp, like moths to the flame. A
shriek splits the cool night air and the drums silence in response. Those
closest to the piercing sound find a trail of red goo, glistening in the
moonlight, leading into the forest, but nothing else.......

Harvest War coincides with Friday the 13th this year and I would like to
sponsor the Harvest War Slasher Tournament (hard suit). This will happen
on Friday (and really, how can adding fighting to Friday during Harvest War
not make it better), time TBD. So what would a successful slasher (i.e.,
tournament winner) expect to gain from being the most feared among the teen
population? Why a shiny new slashing knife (cabin on the lake not
included) of course.

How to prove you are the greatest slasher:

Weapons allowed: Single hand weapons of 24” or less in length, based on
something out of a slasher movie. This can be something like a meat
cleaver, axe, machete, hacksaw, knife or something truly creative. Be as
creative as you want, but weapons still have to follow SCA and Artemisian
safety rules. No shields (when is the last time you saw Jason afraid to
take a shot?). We will have a couple weapons, that can be borrowed (or
even trade amongst yourselves as a truly successful slasher can inspire
terror with all sorts of weapons). And it might be a good time to use up
those short pieces of rattan left over in your garage. Yes, I know you
have some.

Armor: Try to show off your inner killer. Armor can be decorated in any
scary style you want, like a psycho clown, a simple hockey mask or the
blood on your tunic from the last war, and is encouraged but not required.
I will have on hand a few decorative items that may be borrowed while
fighting.

Kill rules: Slashers are notoriously hard to kill. Therefore no body
shots will be taken as kill shots. Instead a slasher must be slowed down
to the point of not being able to pursue. Two appendages must be taken to
be considered a winner. For example a head and an arm would be considered
a win. Two arms, or an arm and a leg would as well. An appendage taken
cannot be taken second time (i.e., same arm twice).

Format: Open to all (we are here to have fun with this). Round Robin,
single kill with each opponent. Top two with the most kills will prove
their scariness against each other. Last survivor will be have free reign
to terrorize the camp, along with their new shiny slasher tool. Format may
change based on the number of participants.

Most important, the goal is to have a fun time doing something different.
