The
Shire of Silver Keep invites you to celebrate the joys of courtly love during
this dreary winter in the north of fair Artemisia.  Celebrate with us the Feast of St. Valentine
on February 8, 2014!  Love is in the air!  Activities throughout the day will provide
ample opportunity to demonstrate your skill in courtly love.
We
will have a heavy fighter tournament to determine our Shire Champion.  Any Montana fighter may win this esteemed
accolade.  Armoring and inspection begins
at noon, with fighting schedule to begin at 1:00 pm.  The rapier tournament will begin immediately
thereafter.
Classes
and other pleasant diversions will be available, beginning at noon.  Merchants are welcome!  In lieu of a merchant’s fee, we ask donations
to our silent auction, which will conclude before feast.
A
soup lunch will be provided for the small fee of $5, but please bring your own
feastware, as none will be provided.  Our
evening feast will begin at approximately 6:30 pm, serving only 40 guests.  Please make your reservations with the
autocrat before January 31, 2014.  A menu
will be published when details are finalized.
Our
site is the Lindley Center, 1102 East Curtiss Street, Bozeman, Montana  59715.  It is conveniently located just off the King’s Highway I-90.  The site opens at 9:00 am and closes at 10:00
pm.  This is a wet site, and no pets are
permitted inside the building.
Fees
Site:  The site fee for adults (age 15 and up) is
$7, and for children (ages 6 – 14) is $5.  Children under the age of 6 are guests of the Shire.  The family cap is set at $25, and the
nonmember surcharge is $5.  Please make
all checks payable to Shire of Silver Keep, SCA, Inc.
Lunch:  The fee for lunch is $5 per person.
Feast:  The fee for feast is $8 per adult and $5 per
child over the age of 5.  Children under
5 are guests of the Shire.
Directions:  From I-90, take the Main Street Exit (#309)
to Bozeman.  Go through the traffic light
and take your first left, which will be Cypress Avenue.  Follow Cypress Avenue as it curves to the
left and becomes East Curtiss Street.  The Lindley Center will be on your right.

Today there are two updates for Solstice Court.

*         Update #1:

Youth Activities!

Our youth officers have some really fun things planned for the kids at Solstice. They will have the opportunity to build a gift for both Mom and Dad. There will be crafts for them to build for themselves as well!...

Father Christmas will visit and have a special treat for each youth who visits with him. There will be other various activities throughout the day as well.

Arianna, the youth officer, would like to issue a challenge to each of the youth in attendance. If you are caught by Arianna or her deputy Emily doing chivalrous acts, you will get a special treat!

We hope to see many of our young people there!


Update #2:

*         Feast Update!

We have hit capacity with feast reservations. We have a wait list going. In light of this I have been asked to notify everyone with feast reservations that you will need to have your seat paid for by 2PM on the day of the event. Payment will be taken at Troll when you pay site fee. After 2PM all unpaid for feast reservations will be offered up to others; first to those on the wait list then to anyone else who wants them.
