[Artemisia] Tri-Kingdom Chirurgeon Symposium

Good Evening,

In April 2015, the Tri-Kingdom Chirurgeon Symposium will be held in the
Kingdom of An Tir. The three Kingdoms that make up the "Tri-Kingdom" part
of the Symposium are An Tir, the West and Artemisia. This is sure to be a
great event, with many promising opportunities for people to learn and
share their knowledge. Please see below for information on this upcoming
event. I am afraid the format is a little funky from cutting and pasting, I
apologize.

Tri-Kingdom Chirurgeon Symposium

Greetings unto the Populace of the An Tir, Artemisia, and The West:


This is an invitation to the Tri-Kingdom Chirurgeon Symposium, harken and
let the word be spread. Please cross list as you would find appropriate to
reach as many people, Chirurgeon or not, interested in attending the first
annual Tri-Kingdom Chirurgeon Symposium.


The Chirurgeon Symposium will be held April 17-19th, 2015. Hosted within
the Barony of Dragon’s Mist, of the Sable Throne Kingdom of An Tir.
Registration for the classes is open and a complete list of classes will be
circulated. Some topics available are: heat injuries, History of the
Chirurgeonate, Medieval Medicine in Art and Practice, herbal medicine or
Apothecary Arts, stress debriefing, and Chirurgeonate & armor extrication.
This is only a small amount of available classes, stay tuned to the website
and social media outlets for updates.


This is also a call out for volunteers for anyone who would like to teach a
class, or perform service at the symposium. You do not have to be a
Chirurgeon to teach a class. If you have some knowledge of historical
medical practices, techniques related to health and personal safety in the
SCA environment, equipment used, or anything else that is educational or
Chirurgeonate related, all are welcome.


This symposium is extended to all individuals with interest in the
Chirurgeonate, friends and family of Chirurgeon, those who have been the
recipients of Chirurgeonate care or those who may have thought about it,
dreamed about it, or feared they may be in need of said services, all are
invited to attend.


This year, we will be also introducing and hosting a Heavy and Rapier
fighting “Blood of Life” buy in Prize Tournament. Funds raised by entrants
into the tournament a long with proceeds of the symposium will be donated
this year to the An Tir Raven Travel Fun.
