[Artemisia] Masked Ball Fast Approaching!

Greetings Artemisia!

The Arn Hold Masked Ball is fast approaching and I just wanted to remind
you of the activities we have planned to keep you entertained the afternoon
and evening of Jan 24th

-The Lord and Lady of Color Competition. Its tradition at the Masked Ball
for the populace to cast their votes for the Lord and Lady best dressed in
each of the basic Heraldic colors. Watch for your favorite garb in shades
of Or, Sable, Vert, Azure, Gules, Argent and Purpure with prizes to be
awarded at the end of the evening. Not sure who that person in the pretty
azure dress is? This is a great opportunity to meet new folks and dazzle
everyone with your stunning heraldic knowledge!

-The Dessert Competition. HE Mistress Jorfior has graciously offered to
organize a dessert display, so bring your best delicacy and win some
prizes. Period and non period are welcome.

We are also lucky to have not one but TWO wonderful fundraisers

-"To Play or Not To Play: The Korobushka". The song the dancers love and
the musicians hate, look for the "Play" and "Not Play" pots in front of the
musicians and let your money decide whether we all get to dance to this
great tune as the last dance of the night. The benefits of this fundraiser
go to the Dance Guild of Arn Hold.

-Armor Silent Auction. Be sure to bring your checkbook and take home some
armory bits to augment your kit before the war season, with proceeds to go
to the Arn Hold Heavy Fighters.

And last but not least, DANCING!

Lady Ursula and HE Morgan have many dances ready to teach you from 12noon
when the site opens to 4pm, so NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Then after the
dinner break we will have dance sets with the talented musicians of Arn
Hold between Court activities.

With dancing, desserts, an armor auction, some browbeating of the musicians
for Korobushka and the Lord and Lady of Color to choose, we hope there will
be plenty to entertain and delight.
