[Artemisia] Castle Siege Event Announcement

  Join Silver Keep for their summer event, which will, once again, be held at Rocky Creek Farms just ten minutes east of Bozeman on the Frontage Road. The site opens at noon on Friday (August 7, 2015) and continues through noon on Sunday (August 9, 2015). The site is wet, but please use period containers. Pets are allowed; please be responsible. Merchants are most welcome! Fires are allowed in above-ground pits only. There is no potable water on this site, so be certain to bring your own. Shade is also at a premium, so please bring what you need. 

 SITE: Rocky Creek Farm, Bozeman, Montana

 ACTIVITIES: There will be archery -- lots of archery. Lord William and m'Lord Wulf have been planning ways to test your ski...ll. There will also be classes available, including pewter-casting and soap-stone carving following the long-awaited return of our own dear Prior Helmut. Lady Siobhan will be teaching "Finding the Period Garment in the Modern Day Commercial Pattern." And Mistress Tamsyn will be overseeing a scribal sweatshop, so if you appear unoccupied, you will be enslaved.

 FEAST: The $5 feast will be simple fare of charred animal flesh and vegetation. Food donations of side dishes and desserts will be gratefully accepted.

 FEES: Adults: $8.00; Youth 5-15: $5.00. Children under 5 are guests of the Shire. The Family Cap is $25.00. A $5.00 non-member surcharge will apply; keep in mind that if you cannot show proof of membership, that charge will apply to you. Please make checks payable to SCA Inc, Shire of Silver Keep.

 DIRECTIONS: Take your best route to Bozeman, Montana and connect with I-90. From the west, take Exit # 313 off I-90 (Bear Canyon Road). Turn left at the stop sign off the exit. Turn left again (this is Frontage Road). Travel 0.8 miles and turn right at Rocky Creek Farm, following signs to the event area. From the East: Exit # 313 off I-90 (Bear Canyon Road). Turn right at the stop sign off the exit, then turn left (this is Frontage Road). Travel 0.8 miles and turn right at Rocky Creek Farm, following signs to the event area.
