Greetings to All who read these tidings, from Duke Alan,

As you can see from the message below, the "official" Uprising has been cancelled.  More's the pity, and there will be fallout...

However, please consider leaving that weekend and your travel plans open.  There may be a very large non-SCA party, on the same date and location as the now cancelled Uprising was to be held.  The party, which is now in the works, will VERY closely resemble a normally held Uprising, less some of the amenities and problems.  Obviously, details need to be worked out in very short order, but that can be accomplished by people who have the desire to work through problems.

Please stand by for more information, and feel free to cross-post this.  As you know, I don't do Facebook, so if someone would be so kind as to post this over there, I would appreciate it.

Regretfully Uprising War has been cancelled for this year. In light of transparency, preregistration did not reach the numbers that we needed to pull off the event; logistically the event was not prepared to run in one month.  The Barony looks forward to holding Uprising 30 next year.
