Greetings Everyone,
Uprising is rapidly approaching and we look forward to seeing you. The site is looking good. You will be able to park MUCH closer to your camp. The battlefield will provide lots of good fighting challenges!
The list of merchants will provide some great shopping and classes will provide some good education.
This will be Uprising 30. Come celebrate with us,even if only for the weekend. I know the 20 Year Kingdom event is, unfortunately, scheduled only 2 weeks after Uprising. That forces the populace to make hard choices. We hope you can spend a bit of time at BOTH events... even if only for a few days.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Y.I.S.,. Alan

Subject: [Artemisia] Uprising Update
Hello All,
A few updates on Uprising. First, Ariadne the Iron Woman will be back making iron! This is an extrmely interesting thing to watch and learn from. Come and check it out!
We are coming up with some interesting fighting scenarios for heavy fighters. We'll be using the broken field in ways that have not been done in the past. It will challenge your tactical skills!
On Friday evening, the former Barons and Baroness' will give their recollections of the time they spent on the Peacock Thrones. Hearing their perspectives on the times will be very interesting. We want to honor these folks for their service. This will be tied in with the S'mores Buffet at the Brew Ha camp. For those who don't know it, Brew Ha is a key part of the early days of 1000 Eyees.
HE Tomas will be running the Thrown Weapons competitions. He has a VERY challenging tourney planned that will be challenging for people of all levels and experience. It will be fun!
Classes are going to be interesting as always. Some of the topics include: The Wars of the Roses, Making Fire with Flint and Steel, Medieval European Weapons, Brain Tanning Deer Hides. A round table discussion of SM Stirling's "Dies the Fire" books will be most interesting. And more to come!
The Unbelted Tourney will be great as always. Thursday we will have the Chivalry Workshop.
As you can see, there will be lots of fun stuff to do, as well as enjoy your friends from across the Kingdom.
More details to come.
YIS, Alan
