Did a little poking around on the internet this morning, decided to look up
info on papermaking, and found all these museums:

Fabriano (esp. check out the online museum links down-left - photos of
equipment):

Gomez Mill House, in New York. Has been closed for renovation, etc.
Re-opening April 23, 2006

Robert C. Williams Paper Museum in Atlanta, GA. The website has links to
other museums (like the two listed above), resources, supplies, etc. The
museum itself has "In addition to more than 2,000 books, the Museum features
a remarkable collection of over 10,000 watermarks, papers, tools, machines,
and manuscripts." Also has the Dard Hunter collection.

But not all of Dard Hunter's work is in that collection -- he made a scale
model of the vat house of the first Crane Mill, which is at Crane Co's
museum in Dalton, MA.

The Research Institute of Paper History and Technology, in Brookline, MA
(Also Carriage House Papers - papermaking supplies, classes, etc.)
