[Artemisia] Another fabric suggestion

Hello again,
Here's another test suggestion for mystery fabric. Dip a little piece in
acetone (nail polish remover.) If it melts or dissolves it contains acetate.

I personally do not like to use acetate fabrics because they are stiff,
non-washable, and do not wear well. They are used in some ready-to-wear for
linings because they are cheap and shiny.

If you do decide to use the acetate, consider backing it with a lightweight
cotton or something similar to support it. Keep perspiration away from it,
and don't subject it to strain. And be prepared to dry clean it and have it
not last as long as silk or even polyester might in the same application.
This is fun!
Caryn
PS: Some polyester taffetas can be washed carefully.
Some synthetic velvets can be washed gently and dried with no heat or on a
hanger. Try the scrap test. :-)
