[Artemisia] Coronation Dessert Buffet

Hi, Pet. Cheese cake, and various cheesecake-like variants and cousins, is certainly appropriate to much of the SCA period. I do not, however, know of a pre-1600 cheesecake recipe that contains sour cream. Nor would it have been flavored with vanilla (not saying that your recipe has either of those ingredients, mind you....)
If you'd like, I could ask for some recommendations for medieval/renaissance cheesecake recipes on the SCA Cooks' list....

Do you know if cheese cake is period? I have a wonderful New York style that I would like to torture people with. Hey Hearthwarming feast was just crazy but tasted great thanks to my helpers.
I will tell you all about it at Coronation.
  Pet
