[Artemisia] Period Sweets

I had looked into this before, but I rechecked the Web to verify:

Custards date back to at least the Middle Ages.
Flans go back at least to Rome.
Boiled puddings are Period, but the were mostly non-sweet (Pease, Meat, etc.)

ps:  Raven, I have a wonderful custard pot, if you would like to use it.  Anna got it for me in France some years ago.  VERY heavy, pure copper.  You MUST use a gas range.  Electric won't work.
