[Artemisia] Picking linguistic nits OP

As long as we're mocking subject lines, it occurred to me that I
ought to mock my own. I've been wondering since I first wrote it what
a linguistic nit might be? I suppose it could be a louse's egg that
speaks, although that would be a really loose reading of the
adjective "linguistic." If language were somehow able to lay lice, it
could all make sense. Or if you wanted to get down to the etymology
of it all, lice eggs laid on the tongue could make a solid literal
reading.
