[Artemisia] Cross-post: No More Fabric at Walmart!

I'd call and complain, but we have a Jo-Ann's nearby and they have this 40% discount and constant sales that will beat Walmart's price on a better quality fabric and other notions hands down.  I bought some of the cheap 'mystery fabric' at walmart and it fell apart in the washer on gentle, so I was not all that impressed. 

Now, if Walmart discontinued their video section (particularly the discounts on new releases)... that might get me making a few phone calls (evil grin from movie addict goes here)

If you don't have a Jo-Anns or other large fabric and craft store nearby... you have my sympathies ;0(

  Hey everyone!  Just thought I would cross-post this from my 14th century yahoo group...I've called the number myself at Walmart to see if this is true, and it is.  Walmart is cutting out their entire fabric department.  Some stores, namely in Arizona and Connecticut, have already phased it out entirely.  You can call the number below and complain!  I certainly did.  Enjoy jumping through the hoops of the electronic system...eventually you'll get to a person (Mostly by continually pressing three everytime they give you options...just listen to make sure!)  BTW, from what the guy at walmart told me, this isn't just fabric they're cutting out...it'll be notions and needles and thread and everything.

  "I recently learned that wal-mart is planning on discontinuing selling fabric.  If anybody would like to try and prevent this please call 1-800-walmart and complain.
