[Artemisia] More info about Volunteering at Uprising

I sent a private message (actually a series of them) to Lady Ysabel yesterday. One of the suggestions I made was that, rather than youth (under 18 years) being allowed to sign up for their own volunteer hours through the volunteer coordinator (which, as a Seneschal, makes my head hurt), perhaps it could be a combined effort between volunteer coordinator and youth ministry. If I recall correctly, there are several areas in the youth ministry programs that involve service to others. Or there could be a contest for youth volunteers with limited areas and times for volunteering that could be closely supervised and age appropriate.

I also think that the volunteer hours that get counted should be things that benefit the event as a whole, not small groups of people. Meaning, things that are done in private camps aren't eligible. Things that are done to set up, tear down, maintain health and safety, and facilitate scheduled activities that are open to all should be counted. This includes many of the areas that volunteers are usually needed.

FWIW,
Thea
