An Award of Arms gives the person the title of 'Lord' or 'Lady', and 
also the right to bear steel in the presence of Their Majesties.

A Grant of Arms is an elevation in status - the official title SCA wide 
is still Lord or Lady, but most Kingdoms go with 'The Honorable 
Lord/Lady' for introductions or third party speech and 'Lordship' or 
'Ladyship' for more informal speech.

This last title has led to a very informal activity in Artemisia - the 
'Fleet of Artemisia'. All those who receive a Grant of Arms are asked 
(or should be asked) what 'ship' they want to be in the fleet. For a

As you can see, it has not been updated for some time - I have not 
gotten a lot of updates and, as a result, have not given them to the Web 
Minister to incorporate.

I appreciate any and all corrections and updates, but the Web Minister 
would be able to post those updates easier than I can right now!
