I have a dear friend who has suffered from migraines and headaches for much
of her life; do you know if using feverfew in tea is more effective than
using it in capsule form?

    I used the capsule form of feverfew (I absolutely detest teas!) for several years as a teenager and into my mid-20's for migraines and it worked really well for me. At that time, I was plagued with migraines that came monthly, that lasted from a few hours to several days. They totally incapacititated me. In me, feverfew dropped the migraine down to a really bad headache that I could still function through. Every now and then, I still had a doozy, but it limited them dramatically. You still need to take it daily for it to work. I also used lavender oil rubbed on my temples when the first signs appeared.
      Now that I am older, I am having fewer migrianes, so I no longer take feverfew. I have noticed now my migraines are usually brought on by stress, so I suffer through a cup of chamamile tea to help me relax and the migraine to pass. A hot bath and no lights or noise will help. A dietitian I had several years ago stated that sharp cheddar cheese was a migraine-inducer. I have noticed a reduction in migraines just by eliminating that from my diet.

  Hope this helps.
