No, I put a bid in a year ago to make stakes and kept trying to get a
response.  As of right this second I have never been given the approval to
make stakes, or the money or materials needed to make them, and to be
honest, if they gave it to me today, I wouldn't have time now to make any
till after Uprising.  Still I would be happy to make proper stakes at cost,
provided I have the lead time to do so.  Regardless, as I said last year, 3'
form stakes would work quite well.  What I offered was to get 3/4" square
rod and cut it down to 30" stakes, with slip loops welded to the tops.  (Rod
comes in 20' lengths, and was going to weld 1/2 a link of chain to provide a
loop for the rope.)
I also passed word of where to order 1/2" hollow braid rope by 1000' rolls
for $80.
But all the pricing I had gotten was last summer, and I am not sure what the
materials would cost now, I'd have to make a few calls, but as I said, even
with the ok and materials, I don't have time to make them now.  Which having
never gotten the ok, is why I asked about the stakes in the first place.

HI! Chiming in.  

I was told when the pavilion repairs were approved, that you (John Gilson)
were taking care of the creation/acquisition of the new stakes (and caps).
So obviously somewhere there is a miscommunication if you were unaware of
that.  If you are not still the person, then we need to get those reassigned
asap.
