[Blgspops] Fall potluck time!

	Greetings to all orchestra members!

	 It’s that time again! School has started and so should we!

	 First up will be our traditional potluck at our conductor’s
house.

	 Date is Thursday, September 3. Show up around 6 and we can be
eating by 6:30 or so!

	 John has graciously agreed to host again, and he will be providing
the burgers for the grill. I’ll be bringing the plates, napkins and
cutlery. All we need now is salads, side dishes, drinks and desserts
(and maybe some chips)!

	 We hope to have some new people joining us as well as some old
friends coming back, so please let me know if you are coming. We’d
like to have a fairly good head-count for the burgers and buns. A
private message is fine.

	 We’ll also have a business meeting to vote on officers for the
new year as well as discuss our tentative calendar for the fall.

	 So everyone can be thinking about things, here is the current –
but still fluid – calendar for this fall and winter:

	 Tentative Calendar for this coming season:

	 Rehearsals start September 10 at St Luke’s. Hall doors open by
6:30 pm, baton down at 7:00 pm. As it gets colder, hall will be open
earlier.

	 November 12 and/or 19 – nursing home visits to perform prior to
Thanksgiving break

	 No rehearsal Nov 26 (Thanksgiving)

	 Dec 10 at St Luke’s, Dec 11 Dress Rehearsal at Alberta Bair
Theater

	Dec 13 Voices of Christmas at Alberta Bair Theater

	 Dec 17 nursing home performance

	 Holiday Break Dec 18 to Jan 7
