[Blgspops] Summer plans gone awry I guess

	I have gotten many more ‘can’t make it’ messages than ‘can
make it’, so I am going to sadly have to cancel our proposed
performance at Don Cantrell’s 50th wedding anniversary celebration.
I didn’t even get enough ‘yes’ messages to make up an ensemble! 

	Therefore, no rehearsals for the rest of this summer.  

	We’ll regroup at John’s on the 31st of August (Thursday) at 7 pm
for our annual potluck and business meeting. Regular rehearsals will
start at the church the following Thursday, Sept 7. I'll put out a
call in early August for ideas on music selection for the fall/winter
and when we should try and schedule our next concert.

	On a more positive note, I got some marvelous artwork from our bass
player, Elton, that can be made into a poster for better and more
visible promotion for us. I hope to get it finalized and some posters
made in July. I’ll let people know when they are available so that
we can try and get them out to the music stores and music departments
in the colleges and high schools around town during August.
