[Blgspops] Music Committee meeting

For our concerts in late May/early June and the July Model T convention, 
we need to pick music NOW.

Sunday, Jan 27th, at 4 pm (or a little bit after that) anyone who wants 
to have input into what we are playing is invited to join John and 
myself at his house. Address is 1745 Ave C.

We will be wanting to focus on a few things:

When to schedule the Spring concert as well as what sort of fundraiser 
we will do in conjunction

What exactly to play to accompany the central piece of the concert. 
Julie M and her teacher will be doing a Concert for Two Oboes - this is 
a piece that she says runs 11 to 13 minutes total - and we will be 
wanting to compliment that with other songs from our library if at all 
possible. I would rather not buy new music, but that is not being ruled out.

For the July Model T Convention, we will want to do some of the same 
music, since we will have it practiced, but we won't be doing the two 
oboes piece. Instead we will want to change it up with some of the 
'dinner and dance' selections we have done for past banquets. I can post 
that list if people want to see what we have done before.

Again, if you want to have a definite say in our music selection, come 
to the committee meeting or email myself and John with suggestions if 
you cannot be at the meeting itself.
