I would love to get together at Southern Regional War Camp if that is the
same as the East Kingdom War Camp, but I have to teach a mundane knitting
class that Saturday and because it is right in the middle of the weekend, I
can't go.  I'm planning on going to Northern Regional War Camp the first
weekend in July.  Can we get together then?

I, for one, am very glad for your enthusiasm and ideas, Elizabeth!

 

We still have to come up with a written announcement to send to Shannon for
the Pikestaff.  The lists we need to hit are the EK list, EK South, EK other
regions, and EK A&S.  Wouldn't that cover the bases?  OH, I see, you want to
send something to each local group.  Wouldn't we have to have someone
subscribed to each group's email list to do that?

 

I'm going to be teaching some sort of spinning class during the day on
Saturday.  We can use that space to have a meeting before or after.
Unfortunately, we're not going to be going to Pennsic _again_ this year :(

 

We probably need to have an agenda of sorts to figure out what we need to do
to become a guild and how we want the guild to be shaped.  I don't know
enough about the organization of other Kingdom guilds to be able to pick a
model.  Perhaps by SRWC we will have enough people involved that we can come
up with the agenda.

 

Gotta get back to work!

I think the default should be to reply to the whole list. It is much easier
to hit "send" than to remember to hit "send to all".

On the subject of getting the word out: We should get an announcement out to
Pikestaff as well as most of the online groups, barony's and shires. I'm
sure the web minister would be glad to help us send out a mass email, as the
WM would have all the emails in the database. If we ask the WM to do it then
no one would have to be the "front man" or be embarrassed about addressing
large groups of people.

On the subject of our first meeting: Do we want to have a get together at
Southern Region War Camp on Saturday and maybe at Pennsic the second week?
We could even put an announcement in the paper at war or get the meeting
cried out around the camps. I would gladly volunteer my camp for a Pennsic
meeting.
