[Ek_fiber] Another Intro

I have had pretty good luck using "Splendor" embroidery silk for knitting - 
I made 2 of the Chur relic purses (with different designs) as gifts to our 
retiring Baron and Baroness.  The silk is 12 strand, so that it can be used 
as is or separated int strands.  I used 3 strands on 00 needles, and results 
were impressive, realtively easy to work with (didn't split or fray).  It is 
expensive - the only drawback.  I also had some silk that a friend brought 
me from Italy - I wish I had kept the wrappers - it was also 12 strand, in 2 
or 3 ounce balls.  Hope this helps.  Bruinnach
