How great is that?! Lyle and I met Joe last fall, when we were up for EKU.
Very nice fellow indeed.

Linen pages? Made of real linen?

We recently had a large book fair called Word On The Street here (Halifax)
in September. At it I got a chance to speak with Joe Landry, the nice chap
who teaches medieval book binding at Dal here (and who has given us a lovely
free lecture).

Turns out Joe is trying to coordinate a chapter of the Canadian Bookbinder's
Association for the Maritimes. Cool! I think the national bookbinders group
is new as they were not at last year's Word On The Street.

As well, a local publisher is producing all its books with lovely hand bound
editions. Lovely textured covers, linen pages and beautiful design. They
publish poetry and fiction.

I will post more data I can. I have some bibliographies to sort through and
websites and such
