Lyle, It sounds great, but we have been going up to our cottage in NH [ beyond Concordia, but no longer snowy] when we can. I haven't made a lot of paper in a while, just using up what I have stored or making collages from leftovers. Or non-period stuff, like bananas from banana stickers or teapots from tea-tags. Mainly watching Dr.Quinn on DVD's. OH, I did make that book from a picture you sent me of a Medieval book that opened from 6 sides, Mine opened from 8 sides and had old family stories inside. I should have made copies to exhibit. But my Welsh baker husband's persona did make a few scone-like roll recipes, and we make a delish Dundee fruit cake. Hoping to get to some more SCA events, LInda Owens PS My son Greg and his wife Daphne are very active lately, as are their kids.

Greetings unto the list!
The good Lady Naomi, our current King's Champion of Arts & Sciences in the East, has asked if I would organize a group to represent all things paper at the Artisan's Village she is autocrating in her home Shire. I could hardly refuse a request from one I think so highly of!
I would like to invite you to join me at the event! (Kindly find the details at http://www.eastkingdom.org/EventDetails.php?eid=2687)
If you would like to come and bind books or make paper, print or demonstrate fine calligraphy - or anything else scribal! - please do let me know! I can even offer some crash space; I live about half hour from the site.
Please do let me know if you would like to come play in the village so that I can reserve the right amount of space. I promise it will be fun!
Yours in fun and service,
Lady Jenevra
