Some interesting recovery links for books and other documents, to share,
posted by a lady in Louisiana, for folks recovering from Isaac.

Scroll down the page a bit to find the section on: SALVAGE OF FAMILY TREASURES AND COLLECTIONS
Lots of additional links there to review.
Enjoy, Hillary

As folks clean up from flood waters, there is always the question of how to save important things from the mess.
From an email sent out by the State Library of Louisiana:

Heritage Preservation has a collection of resources on how to salvage wet "photographs, books and documents, paintings, electronic records, textiles, furniture, ceramics/stone/ metal, organic materials, and natural history specimens."

There's even a free app for the iPhone/pad folks.
In service,
Judith Wilkinson (mundanely a librarian)
