Hi all,

A friend of mine (and former fellow Carolingian) is seeking an article
published in the Boston Transcript. If any one has online access to it, or
to the Boston Public Library online, it would be greatly appreciated.

(As soon as i heard about this search, I thought 'I have just the resource
for this!'.) :-)

Thanks,

Ki-lin

Does anyone listening have a Boston Public Library card, and a bit of free
time to help a former Carolingian? Barak Raz, who now lives in the
Philadelphia area, says:

A very nice lady with whom I have corresponded by e-mail has a problem,
and I have undertaken to help her with it. She is writing a book about
Rafael Sabatini, and needs a copy of an article written by Esther
Forbes for a newspaper called the Boston Transcrpt.

As far as I can tell, the BPL has the paper on microfilm, and may have
it on line. I tried to access it online, but the system requires a PIN
based on the user's library card, so I was out of luck.

I was thinking there must be a Carolingian or two ... who could take a
couple of hours to check the microfilm and get a copy of the article. I
can't promise a large remuneration, but I will do what I can. Anyway,
if you know of a likely researcher, please give them my e-mail.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated by myself and the
    author.

    Thank you,
    Barak

If anyone can give Barak a hand with this, please get in touch with him at
