Oh good, because that 4 year old salad is really getting to look  rather sad 
and wilted.  <g>  
 
Those who work in food really can't save their early works except  in 
pictures, descriptions and comments of those who have sampled the  wares.  And those 
who do work in perishable arts should be warned early on  to start saving 
those reminders of their early work.  It is fascinating to  return to your menus, 
research notes, and pictures at a later date and see how  much you have 
learned and how that learning has changed how you approach your  art in later days. 
(and anyone who doesn't think cooking is an art has never  been around a chef 
in the midst of a temperamental bout of creativity - beware  of artists who 
commonly work with very sharp knives and boiling pots of hot  oil)
