[Artemisia] Event Emergency

My Lords,
While I don't like to come across as a contrarian, our definitions of "it works" must be different. While the young lady who had the syncopal event was attended by mundane medical personnell (myself included), it was my lady wife who noticed the young lady's distress and insisted that I see her. With few exceptions no one at the event knew that I was a physician and I did not sign in as such at the troll. (BTW, I must give kudos to all who attended the lady as well as His Grace Duke Alan who quickly and effectively organized the Chivalry as a crowd control organization).
The lack of equipment was also an issue. Fortunately someone had O2 and a stethescope (but there was no BP cuff etc). I understand that the purpose of the chiurgeonate is not to be treating physicians but the lack of any tools was surprising and after this event we at Arn Hold made a significant investment in a modern kit for our Chiurgeon to have at events that he/she might attend.
I was also surprised that there was no resusciation equipment. Every venue that has athletic activity should have a defibrillator - the modern ones are safe and effective in the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias. I was made to understand that one is not provided due to perceived liability, but my thinking is that having a defibrillator for a major event falls within the ambit of things that ought to be done. The window of time for successful defibrillation does not permit the 20-30 minute delay that we experienced at Uprising for the EMTs to show up and if the case had been a true cardiac emergency it would have been finis for the unfortunate so involved.
I have updated my own equipment list to include my own stethescope and BP cuff at events and will be happy to identify myself at troll as an MD and carry a walkie-talkie during the event. The policy needs to be set firmly and for one I would like to see at least one dry run per event.

P.S. Any of you who attend camping events should purchase air ambulance insurance. If you need transportation with a helicopter the cost will bankrupt you, since your regular insurance will not cover it.
