Parents: 

If you are worried about kids with 'cold hands' during the ice melting archeological dig... Pack a pair of mittens and send them with your kids on the day of this activity.  Kids will be responsible for keeping track of their  own mittens if they bring them.  If not returned, check with the moy at the end of the day.  

We'll also have wash cloths handy for them to use as well, so that they are not required to 'melt'  the ice block with their bare hands.
