[Artemisia] S.M. Stirling, interesting reading

I just discovered this group of books, and have begun reading Dies the 
Fire.  A lady at our 4th of July demo told me about them.  I had read 
one of his alternative time books, but didn't know about these before 
then.  It's interesting.  A related read, true historical, is called "A 
world lit only by fire;" I forget the author.
