[Artemisia] was "Hopps & Herbs" now: "how to kill grasshoppers"

have you tryied soap it gives the nasty critters diahera and kills them the only other thing that might work is tabacco but you want to use on something your not goint to eat

Does anyone know how to kill thousands of hoppers without using some nasty poison?!!

Seriously, have you ever considered getting a goose?  They eat all the nasty insects, make great guard pets, and in the spring share some really enourmouse good tasing eggs.  Not to mention they provide great fertilizer as a bi-product.  Just something to consider.
