Greetings, Goode Gentles All!

Lord Aghren and I are very very new to the concept of being Royal Feast Stewards. This is actually a new thing for the entire Kingdom. SO please indulge us as we endeavor to serve a need (not create one) and keep everything above board. Our duties, as we understand them, is to be sure the King and Queen and their household are fed at events in which no feast is planned. We are also free to include others in our meal plans, if there is any interest.

We are planning to get our feet wet toward this end at Crown Tournament.

Since there is no feast planned at Crown Tournament, but there IS a dinner break, we would like to invite you all to stop in the parking lot and participate in a tail gate dinner. We are looking at fixing burgers and brats and onion rings, with all the trimmings - like a couple of salads (potato salad and coleslaw probably) and cookies or brownies or something. Bring your own beverages.

This is NOT to be confused with the Barony of 1000 Eyes Lunch fundraiser.

We are asking for a straw poll of anyone interested in participating in this. Please contact us off list at lady_flora at msn dot com if you would like to be included in the tailgater for Crown Tournament and we'll see where this takes us.

And since there were no "gaters" ('gators) in medieval Europe, we will be calling this type of activity a Tail Dragon - or Dragon Tail for reference. (sorry Caz).

Aghren and I have also discussed this and will be setting up an "auditable" accounting system. Our camp kitchens and things like this tailgater are NOT set up to make money. We charge what we estimate to be the cost of supplies and food to provide this type of service. We will keep a running account of expenditures and income during the reign and donate any extra funds to the Kingdom Travel Fund at the end of our tenure. This shouldn't require pre-approval, as no Kingdom funds are being expended in advance for this service.

For those of you who are concerned about Health Department issues, we have researched this and do not need local health department approval as 1) we are NOT doing this for profit and 2) we are providing a service for a PRIVATE group, and not "selling" to the general public. However, we do follow all reasonable health and safety standards and Aghren and I do have food handler's permits for Weber County, Utah.

WOOOHOOOO!!!! This is going to be FUN!

In humble service,

Lady Flora, Lord Aghren, Veronique, Jules and crew
