SO..... I thought a long time about this, whether to post it and exactly what to post about this VERY sensitive topic.  The following is MY UNDERSTANDING of how the Confidence Poll in the Barony of Gryphons' Lair will proceed; any errors are entirely MINE, and are accidental.  Absolutely every part of the following is subject to change at the Will of the Crown.  I post this ONLY to give all of the BGL Populace full information regarding what will be required of them to participate in the Polling, so here goes:
Their Majesties and Highnesses have asked me to Proctor the Confidence Poll for the Barony of Gryphons' Lair this coming Saturday, at the Quest for Atlantis event.  After opening Court/at the time specified by Their Majesties, I will be seated at a table with a list of paid members who reside within the zip codes belonging to the Barony [provided by the Kingdom Seneschal], a basket with a slit in the lid, a few pens, and a stack of tickets that have two boxes, one marked "YES", the other marked "NO".  Every person wishing to participate in the opinion poll MUST show current proof of membership AND be on the list to do so.  Anyone who does NOT show said proof and/or is NOT on the zip code list will NOT BE ALLOWED to participate, no exceptions.  Once membership and residency are verified, the person will be given a ticket and pen, and after they ONLY mark one of the boxes, they are asked to put the ticket in the basket, and that is it.  There is NO room
 for additional commentary from the resident on the ticket, that is intentional- just mark a box, NO ADDITIONAL COMMENTARY WILL BE ACCEPTED, so don't do it, not even your name.  At the time specified by Their Majesties, the polling will be closed, no exceptions, [not for even one minute passed closing time], the ballots will be counted, and ONLY Their Majesties will be advised of the outcome.  Announcement regarding said outcome will be entirely at Their Majesties pleasure.
That is it, please remember that this is NOT A VOTE, and it is NOT AN ELECTION- Their Majesties are asking for your OPINION.  You are not voting for President, you are participating in a car insurance taste test.  One final point- BGL residents are politely asked not to "hang out" at the polling area before/after giving their opinion, for obvious reasons.
