[Artemisia] Wax seals WAS Re: The Scroll Thing

Hi,

I have a WONDERFUL scroll with a wax seal.  And would like to mention two things.

#1. When you get them framed, have the framer put "spacers" between the scroll and the glass, so the wax doesn't touch the glass.  While it won't "melt", it WILL leave an oily mark, if it touches the glass.

#2. As was mentioned before, use ONLY proper sealing wax and don't roll them, carry them flat.  IF the wax seal pops off the scroll, a simple couple of VERY quick passes over a flame, i.e. match, will soften enough you should be able to reattach it if you're quick and don't melt it too much.

Reading about the talk of scrolls and with wax seals I do not have any
but Elias does. The two of his survived the travels from Drachenwald.
The one is the Kingdom seal stamped, the other is a personal hand cared
into wax. They've survived the last 7 years, I hope they will longer still.

~note to self to get framing done for them~
