[Artemisia] Fortified Manor House Ideas?

I would want:

 Clear firing lines, good visibility, lots of ammo and weapons
People to help you-safety in numbers, so big enough house to shelter them
Some kind of barrier- fence, ditch, preferably both
Defensible space-no bushes trees etc, near house to catch fire, or hide
people sneaking up
Stone or brick house, or at least stone or brick facing on house
Water supply inside fence, preferably inside house with power
Energy source, generator, solar?
Food supply
Alarm system-bunch of yappy dogs at the very least, geese, chickens, and/or
sentries, human or?
