We haven't skipped any reigns since the Company was formed. We
have given gifts at _both_ 12th Night _and_ Spring Coronation.
At the first Spring Coronation, it was when the Company was
awarded its Charter. The following 12th Night, it was because
it's a traditional date for giving gifts. We have maintained
that pattern for the next several reigns.

I have always liked the idea of giving gifts to seated Royalty,
so that they can use them during [at least part of] the reign.
If we only give gifts to the Winter Royalty at their last court,
we lose that effect.

This is the first year since the Company was chartered that we
have _not_ given gifts at 12th Night.
