Since we had some interesting debate on awards, and it's been kind of quiet lately, I thought I'd stir the pot a bit.

 According to many of our Peers, there are Five Pillars of Peerage (although some Knights refer to them as the Five Pillars of Knighthood).  They are, in no particular order, as best as I can remember-

Prowess
Courtesie
Noblesse Oblige
Largesse
Franchise

SO......

The thought for discussion- how do you define "Prowess" for each of the Peerages?

I welcome the rational, civil statements, discussion, and even debate of any and all members of this list.  The idea behind it is that if we define what makes a Peer here, perhaps more people will be able to determine if someone has those qualities and has yet to be recognized.  And yes, I do intend to keep this discussion going until we've covered pretty much all of the awards, if YOU keep participating in the discussion.
